Ableton + Reason.
Let the record show that I just watched a few video tutorials on Propellerhead’s Reason 4 that came out a few months ago and I am stoked to try combining Ableton Live with Reason.
I’m a little scared that Reason only would have sufficed for me and I could’ve saved the $350 I spent on Live, but there are loads of people that combine both. As soon as I get my feet wet in both programs, I’m going to see how powerful they can be when they join forces.
My friend Megan and I played around Saturday night and laid down some beats and crazy clips of her singing/rapping/speaking so I think my first project will make use of it all. I’ll unveil the results of my self-assigned homework.
