was my best friend during a time of transitions. She was incredibly encouraging and pushed me in my design work and music. We both loved Switchfoot. Then, for some reason, we just drifted apart. Her mom made great Mexican food.

was my best friend only a month ago. I could finish her sentences and laugh at our lame jokes. We both loved music and food, but she no longer loves what is most important to me. I miss her insanely.

died almost two years ago. Only 19. At church one day, as soon as I was “saved,” he happened to be the first person I told. He was tall; I had to jump for the congratulatory high five. Amazing kid.

lived down the street from me and is getting married Saturday. I’ve always admired her for her individuality — a dancer, a musician, and most importantly, a simple girl that has loved the Lord as long as I’ve known her.
