Thanks for the reminder that I don't necessarily NEED to be in community, but I still think it would be highly beneficial at this point in my life to step out of my shell and invite others to invade my space.

I think about Jesus and how He balanced His time between the large crowds, the twelve disciples, His three closest friends, and alone with the Father. I also think of Jesus after John the Baptist was beheaded and how He went to grieve alone, but allowed the disciples to interrupt this process and point out the thousands of hungry people. It still boggles my mind that in one of the worst moments of His life, He up and went on loving people.

I don't think I'm a hater and a sinner, but as a leadership test once told me, I tend to be an introvert, but that's okay because God didn't create everyone alike. I just have to constantly remind myself of that!

I don't think that you can just apply the 'you must be in the community' across the board like that. Paul said we each have gifts. we all aren't the same and some christians are more loners and some are very gregarious. some like big church groups and some like the large stadium stuff (not me). being a loner doesn't mean you are a hater or a sinner. Paul had disputes with Peter and others and they went their separate ways. they were still all christians and still loved each other.
i think that one of the most important phrases from the bible is 'that we may have life, and have it to the full'. we are not dead if we have christ, and whatever we do (paint, write, work) is for his glory. he didn't put us here to sit and meditate 24/7.
